Lucy Punch Leaves the Show

According to an article published in Varity, Lucy Punch who plays News 9 correspondant, Holly Ellenbogen is to leave show after only 12 episodes.

The article stated:


Meanwhile, Klarik and Crane continue to refine "The Class" in pursuit of a second-season order. One change: Regular cast member Lucy Punch has ankled the skein. Her last episode aired Monday.

Producers had decided to reduce her role in order to focus on a smaller number of characters. She instead chose to leave completely.

"We adore Lucy, but we've been trying to consolidate the characters on the show," Crane said. "We already miss her."


Holly probably has or will be shot by Fern, Richie's insane jealous soon to be ex-wife.

The Class will soon be showing live stream of a table read and a rehearsal of episode 17 which is titled: "The Class Springs a Leak". The episode is due to air on February 19th.

Congratulations to The Class on winning the People's Choice Award for Best New Comedy. Great news for the show if it wants a second season!
Also, Lucy Punch, who plays Holly, did not appear at the awards, wereas the rest of the cast did, adding more to the rumours of her leaving the show.
